The Jehovah’s Witnesses have held closely the belief that we are living in a period of time referred to in the Bible as “The Last Days” when Christ had returned to cleanse the Earth. Namely, signs of these Last Days would be evidenced by unprecedented war, famine, pestilence, earthquakes, and crime. Moreover, the Watchtower Society has urged its members for over a century that the end of “this system of things” is imminent.
In Signs of the Last Days, Franz presents evidence that the assumptions concerning the Last Days are based on a misunderstanding of Christ’s own words. Further, historical facts demonstrate how surprisingly little the 20th century has differed in these areas from past centuries.
